Substrate Cleaning Threshold for Various Coated Al Alloys Using a Continuous-Wave Laser

In this study, different coatings (gray epoxy primer, white varnish and red alkyd paint) of 7075 aluminum alloy are cleaned with a 500 W continuous-wave (CW) fiber laser. We analyzed the influence laser power density on temperature evolution target surface morphology. Under condition continuous irradiation for 1 s, experimental results indicated that suitable cleaning thresholds primer varnish, as well paint were 177.74, 192.89 147.44 W/mm2. The show threshold thicker three-layer was smaller than single-layer layer, we analyze mechanism phenomenon.
